5 Fall Health & Wellness Essentials + Amazon Gift Card Giveaway!

I loooove fall. The crisp air, falling leaves, hot coffee cup in hand...what a peaceful transition into the next season after a hot and humid summer. What I do not like is that along with the beauty and peacefulness that comes with fall, comes sickness like colds, flu, and that horrible stomach bug.

Here are my top favorite sick season essentials :

1. Seventh Generation Plant Based Disinfecting Cleaners

Seventh Generation cleaning products are my go-to for keeping the nasty germs away. The disinfecting multi-surface plant-based spray cleans and disinfects in one quick and easy step. No rinsing or wiping is required, even on food contact surfaces. My mind is at ease, because this streak-free cleaner kills 99.99% of germs botanically and is effective against many Influenza A viruses including H1N1, Rhinovirus, MRSA, Staph, Salmonella.

2. Holan Wood Grain Aromatherapy Diffuser

Keep Your Skin Hydrated and Moisturized!
The ultra-quiet portable ultrasonic humidifier keeps your living space clean and properly moisturized. Don't let prevent dry air, dry skin, and flu/cold germs ruin your day, especially with the huge 250mL water capacity and up to 6 -8 hours of use. The auto shut-off feature will turn the device off when it runs out of water, so keep it on as long as you want.

7 color changing LED lights allows the Holan Essential Oil Diffuser to fit in any room. Keep one in your bedroom for a better night’s sleep, one in the living room for the family, and then one in the office for mind-soothing restoration at work.

This diffuser is currently priced at $20.39 and ships free with Amazon Prime or if your order is $25.00 or more! You can also take advantage of the buy 2, get 5% off promotion for additional savings. Get yours here.

3. Gaia Herbs Black Elderberry Syrup

This liquid powerhouse is super-concentrated and can offer immunity support for the whole cold and flu season for adults and children*! My kids and I take this elderberry syrup daily from fall through spring, as do many of our friends in our "crunchy circle". This supplement makes mom happy too since it is USDA Certified Organic with no high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors.

BabyComfyNose Nasal Aspirator is more effective than bulb and battery-powered nasal aspirators because it uses your own suction to remove nasal mucus safely and hygienically, recommended by baby guru Dr. Sears. Uses just one square of lightly-wadded tissue inside the aspirator to filter mucus and germs. Tissue is a better filter material than the plastic foam rubber of other nasal aspirator brands because tissue is absorbent, biodegradeable, and readily available. Tissue also has a much smaller pore size (by a factor of about 100!) than plastic foam rubber. That means the mucus and liquid droplets are getting stopped and absorbed by the tissue and not passing through.

The included mesh pouch keeps pieces together in the diaper bag and the dishwasher. The BabyComfyNose also comes with 2 tips: standard sizefor children and a smaller size for newborn.

5. Garden of Life RAW Probiotics

Probiotics are another supplement that my family takes daily. The Garden of Life RAW Probiotics Ultimate Care and Garden of Life RAW Probiotics Kids are also a household necessity. Many factors can compromise your body's defenses, including the overuse of medications, stress, your environment and even normal aging, resulting in the loss of beneficial Bifidobacterium. RAW Probiotics Ultimate Care's high Bifido formula includes the clinically studied Replenish Blend, making it your ultimate complementary probiotic to achieve balance-helping you repopulate your gastrointestinal tract with good bacteria. These products are gluten free, vegetarian probiotic supplement with no binders, no fillers, no carriers and no soy allergens, so they get my stamp of approval.

  42. This is going to sound strange, but marshmallows, Suzy-Q's, Lays (plain, but very salty) potato chips, chicken noodle soup, fresh ginger, and a lemon-lime soda like Sprite, 7-Up, or Sierra Mist. This is our go-to for sore throats and when we're not feeling well. It generally does the trick within a day or two. We're hardly ever sick, and we don't stock the snack stuffs in the house until we are. We also eat plenty of foods with vitamin C, but keep on hand some vitamin C candies.
