For a cloth diapering newbie, the choices can be overwhelming and many of the oh-so-popular one-sized diapers (intended to fit your baby from birth until potty training) really do not fit the newborn baby. That being said, I wanted to take the opportunity to share an incredible option that any mother would love!
As previously mentioned, I LOVE all-in-one style diapers because they function much like a disposable diaper and there aren't many additional or confusing steps and are by far the easiest to use. One drawback, though, is that some diaper brand AIO's (all-in-ones) are simply not absorbent enough on their own.
All babies are different and many times require more absorbency than the cloth diaper offers, but the great thing about the AIO's is that the concept has evolved and some diapers have openings were you can tuck in additional inserts or boosters to provide your little one with the absorbency that he or she needs.
* Natural materials
One of my favorite material for cloth diaper inserts is hemp. Not only are the inserts thinner, but hold about 2.5 times more liquid than microfiber. Less enormous "fluffy" bum, with more absorbency! * Keep in mind that it does several warm/hot washes for hemp to achieve full absorbency.
Well, Guess What? The TushMate Newborn Cloth Diaper Has It All!
The TushMate AIO Newborn cloth diaper includes a hemp/organic cotton attached insert and an additional small microfiber insert, yet retails for just $15.98. The price point makes it easy to give as a baby shower gift and a money saver!
