My Hopes For My Children

This month, the Green Moms Network has put out a challenge that features a different writing prompt each day. Not only am I trying to get into the habit of posting non-giveaway or cloth diaper sales posts every day, but I would love for my readers to get to know me on a more personal level.

April Blog Writing Challenge

If you have a blog and want to join in the challenge, you can find the writing prompts in this post. Anyone is welcome to join in, and there are prizes up for grabs for group members! Interested in joining the Green Moms Network? Click here.

To my Lil' Man :
Your never cease to amaze me. No matter what, do not choose to live up to everyone else's expectations, even my own. Remember to never doubt yourself, and when life gets tough...know that I and God are right behind you. You have been blessed with a deep passion for learning and music, and I pray that you never let that go. Learn from my mistakes, and don't live your life based on what others think that it should or should not be. I see so much talent and intelligence, and I pray that your are not ashamed to display your God-given gifts.

To my Leettle :
Yes, you are full of CRAZY energy...and no amount of caffeine can make me keep up with you. My first instinct during you nap and bedtime may be to face plant on my pillow, but I wouldn't want it any other way. From the day you were born, it seemed like you had a permanent smile on your face. You are a born entertainer, and you worth every second of my undivided attention. I pray constantly, every single day that you never lose that joy and love of life.

To both of my boys :

Whenever I set my eyes on you I am overcome with joy, pride, and you are living proof that amidst all of my faults as I a mother, that I am doing something right. Even at your young age, you know what it means to be family, to stick by one another, and to offer comfort when needed, or praise just for the heck of it. With each hug and "I love you" that you utter to one another, my heart melts.
Every day, you display the pure heart of Jesus, whether it was handing an Easter egg to a child who couldn't find any or to pray for someone because they are sick or hurting, simply because you felt moved to. You are truly blessings in broken world. I don't think I could ever truly find the words to explain how lucky I am to have you in my life, and it is far better than I can ever imagine, simply because the both of you are in it.

I may yell a little too loud at times, and get impatient out of my own selfishness. I hope that those actions never hinder you from believing that you are the most important little boys and that I would do anything to keep you safe. I will strive everyday to remind you of that. When I do display these fits of anger, you two are so quick to forgive and love...Thank you.
