Olive & Nell LivyBelt Review {Giveaway!}

Olive & Nell is a US based (Edina, Minnesota to be exact!) company that was created by a Tonya Beck, and mother of three who faced the same problems that I have encountered with my 4 year old son.

Ever since LM started potty training, it has been extremely difficult to keep his pants on him. Up until a couple of months ago, LM was sharing 18-24 month shorts with his brother. Now that the temperature has significantly dropped, he needs to wear a size 4t, which easily slip off of his tiny 15 inch waist. LM also has trouble undoing his belt before using the toilet, which have resulted in quite a few accidents. So, LM had to wear capri-like pants around the house, and Daddy was NOT a fan of that!

Needless to say, I was THRILLED when Olive & Nell sent me a Livybelt™, in the black Lexi style, to try out on my son.

The great thing about the LivyBelts is that they hold clothing in place. The Livybelt™ can hold up yoga pants, sweat pants, skirts, jeans, and pants with loops!

The Livybelt™s are made from stretchy polyester to provide a snug fit, but do not interfere with potty training and toddlers can easily dress themselves while wearing it.

These belts also come in the following styles:

* The Lexi - 4.5", can be worn by boys or girls under tops

* The Lila - 4.5" with a bow, is designed to be worn over clothing to add the perfect touch to any ensemble.

* The Lizzy - 9" adds some flair to any outfit! Perfect if your little ones shirt is a bit short and you want to hide the belly.

The Livybelt™s are one-size and designed to fit most with 14 - 25 inch waists. As I had mentioned before, LM has a 15 inch waist. Here, LM is wearing the Lexi in black.

During a full day of playing, the belt only rolled up once, but to be fair he and his brother were rough housing. LM was able to move the belt back down in place, but I had to help him straighten it a little.

Another advantage to the Livybelt™ over the standard belt with buckle, is that it is comfortable to nap in! Before nap I would remove LM's leather belts, which would cause him to wiggle out of his pants during nap time.

Bottom line - I highly recommend the Livybelt™s to any parent with a toddler or young child, especially for those who have children who are ready to potty train or who are in the early stages of potty training. Our Lexi belt has made my LM's life so much easier and he is able to wear pants that are not too short. Also, did you know that Olive & Nell donate 10% of their sales to children's charities?

You can purchase the Livybelt™s in 6 - 8 different colors and prints (depending on the style you choose) here for $16 or $18 each.

* Be sure to check out the special holiday edition printed Lila belt! Also, for a limited time, you can receive FREE shipping on an order of 3 belts or more!
