Travelin' With Baby Sponsor Spotlight & Review - Hotslings #babytravels

I want to start off by saying "Thank You!" to Hotslings for allowing one of my blog readers will win a sling of there own in the Travelin' With Baby Giveaway!

It wasn't until quite recently that I had joined the ranks of the baby wearing crowd. My youngest is now over two years old, and up until a couple of months ago, I thought that he was just to old.

Of course, my "Leettle" was a little unsure (or should I say quite terrified) at first since he could not feel my arms wrapped around him, but he warmed up to the idea quite quickly. In fact, when we are out and about, after he asks to be "ah-carry (carried)", he frantically searches my purse for his sling.

I had purchased my Hotsling quite a while ago. It is the older model that was a little harder to fit since it came in a wide variety of sizes.

Now the Hotslings come in only 2 adjustable sizes (regular & large), so you do not have to play the guessing game on which size you need to buy and you do not have to buy a another size after loosing the baby weight. The sizing chart is simple and easy to read. When measuring from shoulder to hip, if the measurement is 26" or less, then you will need the regular size, otherwise you will need the large.

These slings are available in solid black, or are currently available in 9 beautiful prints! Each sling also comes with a matching diaper pouch.

Hotslings are also quite easy to use, and if you are like me and are very intimidated by written directions, you will be thrilled to know that there are step-by-step picture instructions as well as videos on the website for the different types of holds.

Here is the full-length video on how to use the sling. You can also view individual videos on the website.

What I love about my Hotsling the most is that I can easily fold it up and leave it in my purse so that it is readily available to take it out whenever it is needed. Now that I wear Leettle, I do not have to lug around that monster of a double stroller anymore...especially on those 10+ hour travel days through airports when traveling across the country!

Having my sling is also quite the blessing, it is quite comfortable and my arms are no longer sore. I still love to wrap my arms around my Leettle though.

Also, gone are the days of chasing a curious boy around the store and no more "NO, NO, NO, DON'T TOUCH THAT!" followed by a crazy-mad sprint...which equals less stress for Momma! My boy prefers the closeness to me and I prefer the closeness to him. Over the past couple of months, Leettle's attitude has changed and he has become much more affectionate in result of this baby-wearing experience. Less "NO!"s and more hugs and kisses...what more could a mom ask for? I regret not wearing my children sooner!

Be sure to follow the Hotslings Facebook page for useful baby wearing info, sales, and discounts! You can also check out their YouTube page, and Pin your favorite sling on Pinterest!

  9. I love wearing my baby. I wish I had discovered babywearing on my first baby instead of my third. I was given a snuggli when I had my first, but it was complicated and uncomfortable so I did not use it much. Then when I had my third I knew I would have to find something that worked for me, because otherwise nothing would ever get done and the other two would kill the baby by accident the moment I turned my back. that was when I discovered the woven wrap. I LOVE IT!!! I also have a Mei Tai that I use a lot. The more options the better I say! Oh, and my favorite sling is AP silhouette.

  20. AP Silhouette. I like that it's adjustable too. I hated having to try to figure out what size i was and then getting something that was either too big or too small.
