Sponsor Spotlight #ClothDiaperHop - GenerationMe

You may remember the name of this sponsor from my first giveaway on my blog.

Meg Eldridge, owner and creator of GenerationMe, strives to create chemical-free and eco-friendly products, for not only her family, but to share with the rest of the world in order to help us all to be more healthy and "green".

One of my favorite GenerationMe products is Meg's handmade wet-bags. Not only are her wet-bags an economical and eco-friendly way to replace plastic bags, these bags are the most durable ones that I have ever used!

While most wet bags are made from Polyurethane Laminate (PUL), the waterproof material that most cloth diapers and diaper covers are made out of, the GenerationMe wet bags are made from Gortex. This ultra durable material is used for boots, gloves, coats, camping gear, and other outdoor products to keep moisture out. In this case, the Gortex (along with a super sturdy, winter coat quality zipper)keeps the wetness and odor IN, and quite well, I might add. I often forget that my kid's soiled cloth diapers are sitting in the wet bag in their bathroom.

I also put these wet bags to the test by slipping one in my husbands gym bag to have him put his wet (& sweaty!) sauna clothes in it, rather than using the plastic bags provided at the gym. Well, one day I noticed that I had been missing a wet bag, and lo and behold, found it were I had last left it - TWO WEEKS AGO. I unzipped the gym bag and did not smell a thing! NO SMELL EVER COMES OUT OF THESE BAGS! Which is why I am in the process of replacing all of my household cloth bags with hers.

Here is a peek of the inside of the bag

Wet bags are not only useful for diaper bags or gym clothes, but they can also be used for storing:

*Wet clothing, resulting from potty training accidents
*Cloth wipes
*Swimwear
*Toiletries, shampoos, lotions, etc. while traveling
*Cosmetics (who else has ruined many purses due to liquid foundation or nail polish?)
*Ma Ma (Menstrual) Pads
*Kitchen rags & washcloths
*Plush toy storage
...and more!

GenerationMe wet bags come in 4 sizes :

*Extra Small (11"x8" - perfect for cosmetics or ma ma cloth!)
*Small (11"x15" - the perfect on-the-go cloth diaper size, holds 4-6 cloth diapers)
*Medium (15"x20" - holds 12-15 cloth diapers)
*Large (18"x28" - this bag can hold up to 30 cloth diapers!)

You can buy these bags from the GenerationMe Etsy shop reasonably priced from $9 to $19 each, as well as other cloth diapering accessories, laundry detergents, produce bags, reusable snack bags, mop pads (say bye-bye to those expensive Swiffer replacements!), and more!

Meg has also graciously sponsored me in the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper hop to help me create a cloth diaper prize package worth over $125! So head on over to her Facebook page, give her some love and tell her "thank you" for the opportunity to win a small wet bag, a set of cloth baby wipes, and sample size of her wonderful detergent!

*Disclosure: I was not monetarily compensated for this review. I purchased my own items and it was my decision to write the review. The experiences and opinions of this product are entirely my own*

  2. My wetbag is really small and only holds about two diapers. I'd love to get one that holds more! I've been hearing a lot of great things about generationMe recently.

  3. The wetbag by GenerationMe that I saw on Etsy had a handle with a snap. This just seems very convenient to hang a bag especially when using cloth diapers on the go.

  5. I like hearing that the bags are durable. I also like that the 'large' is ACTUALLY LARGE. I hate buying a 'large' and feeling like it's a medium.

  12. I see that generationMe also has reusable swiffer mop pads. That's a neat idea. I'm used to the disposable pads, but I'd definitely try the reusable.

  13. I would love one of these wet bags. I usually put baby in disposables if we leave the house for an extended period of time just because I don't want to carry smelly diapers with me. I would love a smell-proof bag so baby could wear fluff on the go!
